The Digtal apprenticeships are 1 year programmes designed to help people develop careers in the digital media industries by giving them qualifications and jobs. You will work full time with an employer in the creative sector and study one day a week with us on day release.
Who can apply?
You must be ...
- Aged 16+
- Either already be employed in a relevant workplace or be prepared to work full time for a year
- Not already have a degree or currently be studying towards one
- Ambitious, creative , reliable and keen to succeed
- Prepared to work a minimum 16 hours per week
- Available to train each week on day release
What does the programmes involve?
- A job in the digital media sector
- Technical training in web design, video production, or photo imaging technologies and professional work practices

- and any business or organisation that maintains or develops its own digital media and web site etc
You will study a suite of specialised diploma qualifications developed by Skillset. These qualification have been developed in partnership with industry employers and contains essential elements if an apprentice is to meet the required level of competency for employment in the industry.
Employer requirements
Your employer will ...
- Employ you on a part or full time basis. Most employers pay apprentices between £95 - £160 per week (can be more if already in employment)
- Help support the training that we provide to ensure that you becomes a skilled
employee
- Provide on the job development for you
