Aims of the programme

This programme is funded by the JobCenter's Deprived Area Fund (DAF) contract and seeks to provides support, advice and training to help students make successful job applications in the media industries and related businesses.

Individual programmes will be tailored to customer and employer needs.

Business and marketing training sessions
Media technology training sessions (Photoshop, video editing, animation)
Industry awareness workshop
Interview techniques workshop
Job search workshops

Who is the programme suitable for?

This programme is targeted at Jobseeker and Mainstream registered unemployed people living in the identified 35 deprived area wards within Southwark, Wandsworth & Lambeth.

This programme is particularly suitable for people who are already involved in some creative activities but who need professional training, advise and help from to make the next step to finding employment.

You will need to be ... creative, motivated, hard working and able to work on your own.

 

Programme details

3-5 weeks 16 hours per week part time (including work placement).

The programme is available for every age group from 18 to 65. You must be unemployed and registered with one of the following JobCentres ...

Brixton, Brixton Hill, Camberwell, Clapham Common, Kennington Park, London Bridge, Peckham, Stockwell, Streatham, Wandsworth.
