Our specialist apprenticeship programmes teach the current industry work practices, technologies, knowledge and skills required by employers in the creative and digital media industry sectors, and any other business or organisation who are looking to exploit the business opportunities of new technologies such as social media marketing.
Each apprentice studies a number of qualification units chosen to support the needs of the apprentice and employer. The apprenticeships are one year full-time work/training programmes that lead to a set of nationally recognised qualifications.
We have designed our Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeships in a unique and innovative way. They are not prescriptive and not a rigid one-size-fits-all approach. First we listen. Then we incorporate your needs and those of the apprentice into the flexible framework that we have developed. This means that the training experience will be different for each apprentice, with networking and communication leading the way.
Our candidates are very carefully selected and filtered through a long application process and we have many apprentices who already have advanced skills and work experience. Average age of apprentices is 19 years old.
For example, we currently have 3 apprentices who have advanced web development skills and have developed shopping cart and inventory tracking systems for their employers websites. We also have many who are working on social media marketing with a range of companies including those in the PR sector. We also have a number who work for architects, online retail, community arts centres etc who create web video clips (video of products, projects, activities etc).
